Stratosphere made a number of different $1 Grand Opening slot tokens to commemorate their opening in 1996. I believe this is a proof with plain edges and gold selectively plated on the rims and on the image of the top of the tower on one side. The remainder of the field on both sides appears to be in a flat plated finish. The token has the GDC mintmark. Janice O'Neal catalog doesn't appear to list this token and it was likely a prototype.

These are very scarce and it's likely only a few were made. I don't believe any of these were made for slot play. This is UNC of course. It's yours for $85 delivered in USA.
