As a seller, I pass the cost to the buyer
In Response To: USPS says it will cost me $3.10 to send this! ()

Either my buyer explicitly pays shipping, or I list it with free shipping and adjust my sale price accordingly (including adding on the 15% extra that eBay will take out for fees if going at route).

As a buyer, I pretty much don’t by a single chip from anyone any more unless it’s free shipping and/or the base price of the chip makes up for the shipping.
