I am glad to hear your pointing out, what I believe to be the more reasonable actions. Confiscating credentials and not allowing them to return the next day, subtle actions to have them shut down and discreetly having security involved. It is just that it concerns me the attitude on the parts of some people. Things have been getting ugly enough and I hate to see it get uglier. As for the comments I made about searching etc. I didn't mean to infer that you did say that. I was rhetorically stating some examples of how slabbing will always exist and point out the fact that despite our hardest efforts we will not completely eradicate it. I still believe that it is critically important that as much as we dissagree with some of the policies of the operators of shows it would not be smart for anti-slab dealers and supporters to walk away from these events and the opportunities that they offer to express and advance the Slab Free message. Regarding the CC & GTCC convention, that is a different story. Members of the club have a right to expect that the convention be run in accordance to the views of the club as a whole. The club does as you expressed have a right to control regulate or ban the sale of slabs on the convention floor. If a majority of club members are upset and feel that slabs should not be allowed, They should voice their concerns publicly or by snail mail or email to the board. The Slab Free chapter is a good start but in the absence of numbers that prove a majority the chapter needs to reach out to others who have not joined or choose not to join and encourage them to voice their stances to the board. If the board is not responsive then the membership should voice their dissagreement by voting in the next election of officers.
