Over the last few weeks, I've been exploring the hobby of chip collecting just as I've explored a lot of other collecting areas since I became an eBay addict a few years ago. I've noticed one BIG difference between chip collecting and all of the other things that I've collected (and stored in my attic after a few months.)
It's the people. Some of the nicest and most helpful people I've ever met have been through this board and my chip purchases. (Jill B. went above and beyond to welcome me)
So now, thanks to the people I've dealt with and the folks who operate and contribute to this bulletin board, I have mailed my check to Ralph to join and am ordering a copy of TCR. Even though you're (we're) in the middle of a controversy, as a newcomer I recognize such a strong devotion to this hobby among you all that I have faith the club will survive and I'll be able to learn a lot from everybody here in the future.
