My gray hair and beard turned white years ago. My two daughters and my nephews trailed around with me as the grew and as I chased chips in antique stores, shows, and sales; I gave them a quarter if they found chips and 50 cents if I bought them. They were great hunters but none of them became collectors--and one reason is that none of them gamble so they don't have their own experience handling chips. But I think you guys are right: it takes time to set in before most of us start collecting items based on our hobbies. Millions gamble; play live poker and in time may also find it fun to collect their memories.
