Another previously unknown informational tidbit from the newly released second edition of "Illegal Gambling Club of Toledo; the Chips, the Dice, the Places and Faces." The matchcover below shows the address as “Benore Road, near the R.R. Viaduct.” Previous published informaton from numerous sources have all listed the address of the Orchard as 1643 Sylvania Avenue. At this time, I have not been able to verify the connection between the Sylvania Avenue address and the Orchard. That’s not to say that the Orchard was not on Sylvania Avenue at some time. It should be noted that the Benore Road railroad viaduct is quite close to the locations of both the Benore Club and Club Devon.
