Joint Meeting of the MoGH Board and the MoGH Advisory Board The boards will meet together for the first time ever at the National Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement, known colloquially as the Mob Museum in Las Vegas. In fact, this will be the first ever meeting of the MoGH Advisory Board. The meeting is scheduled for January 30, 2018, Tuesday at 9am.
The expanded MoGH Advisory Board now contains a luminous listing of movers and shakers in the realms of the casino, business and museum worlds. Expected to attend from the MoGH Advisory Board are: Eileen DiRocco, Publisher of Gaming Today; Jim Kruse, Education Director, CCA; Mark Hall Patton, Curator, Clark County museum; Christine Smith, Past Convention Chair 2014-16; Bob Stoidal, Consulting Editor, KNPR; Jonathan Ullman, Executive Director, The Mob Museum; Mike Spinetti, owner Spinetti Gaming Supplies; and Oliver Lovat, The Denstone Group.
Expected to attend from MoGH Board are: Steve Palumbo, Vice Chairman; Ross Poppel; Jerry Veragtos, President CCA; Sheldon Smith, CCA Publicity Director; Eric Rosenblum, CCA Legal Counsel, Jim Follis, Events Director.
The MoGH is at a crossroads in its development and needs the input of professionals familiar with the gaming industry, museum workings and developmental issues revolving around the MoGH.
We have an agenda devoted to exploring how to advance the MoGH from its relatively modest, mostly virtual, beginnings into a notable Museum of substance. The MoGH now has mini-museums established in the El Cortez Casino, The Plaza Casino, The Neon Museum and the Mob Museum.
The mission of the Museum of Gaming History is to preserve collections, artifacts and archives for the purpose of educating the public through exhibitions, programs and information.
