Rich, Bill Borland was a good friend. I used to visit him at his apt. at Central Park West where the
Wynn employees parking garage is now. He lived upstairs and said he was worried the floor
Would collapse because of all the chips he had up there! A lot of people didn't know he was president
of the Escoffier Society, an exclusive group that held gourmet meals once a month. He also published
a magazine about gourmet food. I still have some of them. We would talk for hours in his office at
his store. He was Canadian and did stand-up comedy there. He told me some crazy stories. His walls
were covered with photos of him and celebrities. Bill Borland was quite a guy.
