There was a time that tokens seemed to exist for EVERYTHING! People's pockets must have jangled with little brass coins as they went about their shopping trips. Ambrose Bros. also had a 35¢ token, advertised by a German site. 5¢ might have gotten you the tall frosty beer, 35¢ could have bought an entire lunch or dinner. I remember school lunches costing 25 or 35¢ when I was a kid. Remember, too, that in 1935, Prohibition had recently ended and people could enjoy drinks in a Beer Garden or some such.
