The studios use prop chips that are usually made by the studio's property department or contracted out to be made by Chipco or Paul-Son.
I don't know about Nevada but New Jersey requires all 12 casinos to keep strict tabs on their chips inventory including those issued out and those still in their possession and such reports are made on a quarterly basis to the New Jersey Casino Control Commission if any chips are found missing this a very SERIOUS matter, not only would the NJCCC be notified but the Division of Gaming Enforcement of the New Jersey State Police which would investigate and prosecute to the full extent of the law. The casino also faces receiving a serious fine.
