"I am wondering IS NORTON STOPPING THE EMAILS WITH A VIRUS WARNING yet?"
Not yet! At least not on my machine. Even with the lastest updates. Completely understandable. It changes almost everytime that it resends itself. Different file names, different multiple file extensions, different subject lines. While I have received the identical email subject line and attached file more than once, I suspect that was from a DSL connected sender, their internet connection was never inactive, was always connected.
....this crap hit my email box last Wednesday. I didn't open the attachment. I did ask the father of the sender to find out if he meant to send it to me before I would open it. I didn't find out until Sunday that it was indeed a virus attachment. I deleted it right away. Opening the email, but not the attachment still did have an affect on my computer. I have to wonder if there is some part of this bug still sitting on my hard drive waiting to launch itself in the future...
Given that Norton still can't detect the virus every time it attaches itself to a file attachment and is sent to me, I can't help but wonder what else might be ready to explode down the road that's already on my machine. I really am concerned about this, and I'm not a paranoid person by nature.
I said early on that this bugger is nasty. I wasn't wrong.
