Today I went to the 1000 table Civil War show here in Nashville. One of the few decent antique shows here in town. I actually managed to pick up one illegal club chip which is unknown to me and not in the records files. I also got the nice Lady Luck $20 silver strike. The best find actually was the 4 coins from Antigua and Barbuda. The guy said he was getting out of the business and just wanted to get rid of his tokens. I had no idea if they were silver or not since they are not marked. So I ran out to the car and checked my coins of the world book that I have in every car for just this reason. Turns out each coin has 1/2 oz of silver in it. I got all 4 for $12. I checked ebay when I got home and the coins are going for $35-65 each.
Two other dealers still have the ivory chips that they have had for at least the last 5 years. One guy wanted $110 for 4 of his and the other guy had a display case of them for $48 each and another case for $68 each. Way too much for the chips that were there. Had a fun day and managed to bring home a few casino related items.
