My first Card Room! The Hi - Desert Casino was only 30 miles from home. One or twice a week I played poker there. Using their gas card for non-locals made the trip less expensive. Think it was $5.00 for 10 visits. In the early years we played 5 card draw, low ball, or pan. They also had daily tournaments with 2-3 tables during the week and up to 6-8 on the weekends. Was a nice place with a Bar, Restaurant and Hotel. But due to local tax increase they closed the doors. A few years later leveled it and across the street is City Hall looking at an empty lot. I still know 2 dealers now in Laughlin and a cocktail server at Primm. Now the city of Adelanto is a legal cultivation center for growers. From Poker to Pot
