The Pike was a seashore amusement park in Long Beach - founded in 1902, per wikipedia.
They had carnival games, so this form of Tango was probably one of them.

Similar to the "Circle Game" & other carnival games that Bill Harrah & father ran up the shore at the Venice boardwalk, prior to moving to Reno.
