I play in a 2/4 limit game at Turning Stone. A bad beat jack pot had grown to $500,000 (aces full of kings losing) when I almost lost it. For several hours I had been playing and three times found deuces in the hole only to miss on the flop. The game broke up and two of us moved to a new table where I knew only one of the players. The betting was a little wild for 2/4 with lots of raises and much bickering among several players. Three hands into the new table the pot was raised to me and I looked down to see red deuces. I decided not to waste $4 and folder. The flop came 4,2,2! I spent the remainder of the hand praying no one would would hit quads and that I would have cost the table 500K. That didn't happen or I wouldn't be telling this story. I lost a $60 pot but didn't care. And the bad beat was hit Monday night for $507,000. I was not at the table.
