Pete; Wouldn't you agree that sometimes it's a matter of fate? I was fortunate to be in the right place at the right time in history. Maybe you were too. I'm not all that certain that I would have been as fortunate today as I was when I entered the workplace. Things are much different today. Today's typical American worker does not have the luxury of expecting to be working for the same employer for 30 or more years and retiring with a generous pension plan. I'm grateful for the straw I drew in life's opportunities. Other's just as capable and ambitious as I was, simply drew a shorter straw. Doesn't make me any better or worse than them. "Don't like it, quit" .... indeed! Shame!
