This is my Fats Domino tribute(kinda). Back in 1993 we(Boyd Gaming) signed a contract to develop and run The Treasure Chest Casino in Kenner, LA. My buddy Bob was made GM and asked me to come along, so I did. The license holder was a poker playing buddy of Governor Edwards named Bobby Guidry. After several delays we opened in the fall of 1994. I'd seen and done a lot in my gaming career up to that point, but I'd never seen stuff like this. New Orleans made Vegas(sorry Ralph) seem like Sunday School. It was CRAZY, every day was an adventure. Anyway, back to my Fats tribute. The casino was a swinging place and the music was controlled by Bobby. The first time I was standing in the dice pit and Fat's hit "I'm Walking To New Orleans" blasted over our speakers I loved it. So did Bobby apparently because every night he played the damn songs 5 or 6 times a night! By the time I transfered to Kansas City 2 years later I hated the damn song! So RIP Fatman, you were the best.
