I was pleased to get this email today, "Good day - my uncle (a notorious local gamesman and card player from Sudbury, Ontario) recently passed away. I have been left an interesting collection of pool cues and vintage poker chips….. I've done some research which led me to your website, and have ….[these]…. T Mold Taylor & Co chips, from the Arabian Room:
70 orange, 71 blue, and 42 yellow in all.”
One of the chips is pictured below. He is holding to them for the while, but he said "What I'd like to do is send you a couple of each colour so you can add a set of each colour to your collection, and sell or pass on a set to another collector, to make sure these get documented and given a proper home. For the moment, I'll hang on to the remainder".
Can anyone ID the chips or the period they were made? You can tell me wht a set would be worth, what you would pay us for a set of three?
The chips the guy has have the T-mold. The ChipGuide shows a Crest and Sel versionj:
