I remember one NBC "Sunday Night in America" game a few years ago in which the point spread was 3 and the team that had the ball led by 4 points with under 5 seconds left.

It was 4th down, backed up on their own 1 yard line. Instead of risking a punt being blocked, the quarterback took the snap and ran around in his own endzone for a few seconds to run off the game clock and then went out of bounds in his own endzone for the safety. So they ended up winning by 2 points, but the other team back door covered the spread..crazy....
