So,
I just now went thru the drive in at Dairy Queen to pick up a small blizzard.
The total was $4.10 and although that's ridiculous in itself, that's another story entirely.
So I don't have 4 $1's and I give the cashier at the window a $20 and a quarter.
She hands me my blizzard and give me back 15c.
I keep my hand out and she asks me what's wrong?
I tell her I have you a $20......
After mumbling a bit she said sorry she punched it in wrong.
So she hands me back $15.
Without even thinking I start to pull away and before I am out of the drive thru spot I stop again.
This time I go in where I asked I speak with the drive thru girl and she actually argued with me that my change should have been $14 and not $16.
After finally calling over the manager and making a scene, I finally got my dollar back.
So there are 2 thoughts I have now.
1) this girl is so incompetent that she should never be allowed to use the register since she can't do basic math.....
2) she is intentionally trying to rip off customers.
I like to think she is an incompetent because that's nicer than the alternative.
