I GREW UP IN MIAMI BEACH & MIAMI FLORIDA. AS A KID I WOULD MOW A LAWN, COLLECT OLD COKE BOTTLES FOR RETURN MONEY, WASH CARS, SELL THE MIAMI NEWS / HERALD ... ANYTHING TO MAKE A $1 FOR THE SATURDAY MATINEES AT THE LOCAL MOVIE THEATRE.
I HAD SOME FAVORITE MOVIE HOUSES WE ALL WENT TO ... THE CARIB ... THE FLAMINGO ... THE LINCOLN, THE ESSEX ... THE CAMEO, THE DIXIE DRIVE IN, THE CIRCLE ... MOST ALL GONE WITH THE WIND. FOR 35c WE GOT 2 MOVIES, CARTOONS AND SOMETIMES A LIVE PERFORMER ON STAGE DOING TRICKS OR COMEDY ... POPCORN WAS 15c ... COKES WERE A DIME! .... WE WOULD SIT UPSTAIRS IN THE BALCONY ... SOME FRIENDS WOULD SNEAK A SMOKE ... I LIKED TO MAKE OUT WITH ONE OF MY CUTE SCHOOL GIRL FRIENDS .... I SAW THE 1ST. JAMES BOND MOVIE "DR. NO" ... AT THE ESSEX ... I HAD TO SNEAK IN ... TOO YOUNG WITHOUT YOUR PARENTS ... MY FAVORITE THEATRE WAS THE "CARIB"... BEAUTIFUL VERY EXOTIC & TROPICAL LOCATED ON LINCOLN ROAD MALL MIAMI BEACH ... YOUR PICTURES & POSTS ARE MOST WELCOMED ... SEE YOU IN THE MOVIES .... RICH BURGEL
