In the UK, a number of the old phone boxes have been converted to community libraries especially in small villages where there is no other library facility - there are a few I have come across not far from me. If I come across one I'll try and remember to take some pictures.

And I love the Jake and Elwood characters outside your old store - those are great - would be wonderful to have something like that in my garden (although I suspect my wife might think differently!!!)
