We can complicate it further. Even if there is an argument that the chipguide scans have been modified etc., most were not public domain to start with.
So we currently have, for example, hundreds of scans on my website which are copyrighted Marlow Casino Chips.
Those same scans appear on chipguide effectively copyrighted 'Chipguide' with a statement that there are restrictions to their use.
While I personally don't care about the use and think it is a wording issue, I am pretty certain there are others that have provided scans but are not happy that the statement implies the scans can be used for some purposes.
The other issue is that if someone lifts one of my scans from chipguide legitimately then credit should go to me, not the MoGH. Yes? No? Or both parties?
