I still consider it my scan. I question whether The Club could claim that they own the copyright on a scan that a member submitted to TGT. Similar arguments apply to pictures that someone obtains from a catalog, book, or web site and submits to TGT.
He who made the scan or photo owns the copyright unless he formally gives it up or transfers it to someone else.
I agree with the practice of giving credit to TGT for an image that you copy (but not link) from TGT. However, I doubt that ebay would allow a seller to embed a link to TGT along with the picture of the chip since they don't allow ANY links to other www URLs in one of their auctions. Hiding the link in a watermark would likely also be prohibited by ebay.
I have to admit that I'm complete lost these days with all the names that have been created by the Club to mean different things in different contexts. Examples are The Gaming Table, The Museum of Gaming History, The Casino Chip and Gaming Token Collectors' Club. The new name for the club is another, but I'm no longer sure what it is or how it should be used. By the way, has the Club copyrighted the new name?
