union vs non-union is a highly polarized subject. There is very little middle ground, you're either pro or against.

If you are on the union side of the argument, you know what the advantages are. A good wage that you can support your family with & good benefits.

If you are against them, you've probably never worked a union job. It may be due to a story about something bad that you heard happened to someone because they were in a union or you may have heard or read a story in the "corporate" media which cast a negative light on unions.

I've been working a union job for 12 years now & it's not all good but I wouldn't trade it for a anything (OK, maybe if I hit the lottery). That's my 2 cents worth!
