Crockett is across the Carquinez Straight from Vallejo, Ca. (Next town over the bridge) in its hey day there were a few Card Rooms in the town. The spillover of sailors from Mare Island gave all the neighboring towns action. (Benicia included) couple of other Card rooms there was Aleman's Club......Toot's and Gully. .... and the Valona Hotel. There are a few others....but these we're off the he top of my head. More going on there than people would think for a small sleepy little town.
