I believe when you see one of these it indicates a photo has either not downloaded correctly, or you simply need to change the format of the text to reflect jpg, jpeg, gif, or PNG in order to fix this. In doing so the photo will restore as if the download was successful.

I access content via cellular devices or a tablet. The file manager that comes with each device does not allow for this correction, therefore I use ES File Explorer to change the text format. It's the portion following the dot at the very end. What's truly baffling is that I have had to do this numerous times in order to upload photos on site with properly text formatted photos. A ".jpeg" wouldn't upload, but once changed to ".jpg" it did and vice versa. I don't believe a PNG will upload. One may from a PC but I wouldn't know.

FYI for whomever may like to know; changing the text format also works for songs that don't properly download (.mp3) as well.
