AT THE TROP CASINO IN GREENVILLE, MS A FEW YEARS AGO, I WAS IN LINE AT CAGE TO GET A PLAYERS CARD, I NOTICED THAT THE LADY IN FRONT OF ME WAS GIVEN 4 NCV/MATCH PLAY CHIPS, SO WHILE I AM GETTING MY CARD I ASKED IF I CAN GET SOME OF THE MATCH PLAY CHIPS. THE CASHIER SAID NO, YOU MUST HAVE A FLYER THAT WAS MAILED TO YOU AND THEN PRESENT TO US AT CAGE. THAT WAS NOT THE ANSWER I WAS LOOKING FOR, SO I FOLLOWED THE LADY THAT WAS IN FRONT ME AND JUST BEFORE SHE GOT TO THE TABLES I ASKED HER IF SHE WOULD SELL ME ONE OF THOSE CHIPS. SHE SAID OK; AND GAVE ME ONE FOR $5. I HAD THOUGHT ABOUT ASKING FOR ALL 4, BUT; THAT MAY NOT HAVE BEEN A SMART THING TO DO, SHE MAY NOT HAVE GOT EVEN SOLD ME THE ONE.
I GO TO THIS CASINO ABOUT ONCE A YEAR. I HAVE A SISTER THAT LIVES IN GREENVILLE, AND I HAD LIVED THERE 20 YEARS MYSELF. CARSON VALLEY INN IS RIGHT ON THE HIGHWAY ABOUT HALF WAY BETWEEN TOPAZ LAKE AND CARSON CITY ON HIGHWAY 395. USUALLY I JUST DRIVE BY THIS CASINO BUT I HAD A HARVEST MISSION THERE THIS TRIP. THEY HAD A SERIES OF COLLECTOR $5 CHIPS, AND THIS WAS FEW YEARS BACK, WHEN I WAS HEAVY INTO COLLECTING ANY CHIP THAT HAD A CARD IMAGE ON IT.
IT WAS FAIRLY EARLY IN THE DAY, I HAD JUST LEFT RENO AND WAS HEADING BACK TO SAN DIEGO AND WAS GETTING HUNGRY. CARSON VALLEY INN HAD A NEAT LITTLE COFFEE SHOP THAT REALLY LOADED YOUR PLATE UP, ALTHOUGH I DID NOT KNOW THAT AT THE TIME I WALKED IN THERE. WHEN I WADDLED OUT TOWARD THE CASINO FLOOR IT WAS QUITE EMPTY. THE USUAL MORNING SCENE PREVAILED, ONE BLACK JACK DEALER ONE PIT BOSS AND ONE CHANGE PERSON FOR THE WHOLE CASINO. THE PIT BOSS HAD FINISHED HIS MORNING PAPER AND WAS LOOKING FOR THINGS TO DO, WHEN I WALKED UP AND ASKED HIM ABOUT THEIR $5 COLLECTOR SERIES CHIPS. HE SAID YEAH WE STILL HAVE QUITE A FEW OF THEM, AND GAVE THE HIGH SIGN TO HIS DEALER TO INDICATE IT WAS OK TO START SPREADING OUT THE $5’S ROW BY ROW. WELL, WE FOUND ABOUT 6 OR 7 AS I REMEMBER OF THE $5’S THAT I DID NOT HAVE IN NO TIME, AND I BOUGHT A HANDFUL OF $1 CHIPS TO BALANCE OUT THE BILL TO A $50 PURCHASE, TIPPED THE DEALER AND TOLD HIM TO BUY THE BOSS A CUP OF COFFEE OR WHATEVER AND WINKED AT HIM.
THIS WHOLE HARVEST WAS EXTREMELY PLEASANT AND FUN, SURE WISHED THEY ALL WENT AS SMOOTH AS THIS ONE DID. AND YES I DID GET ENOUGH AT THIS HARVEST…REGGIE

I would like to take a few moments on the word offer(s) and to the occasional appearance of this word in my pages. Most folks are cognizant of the meaning and how it applies when a price is not provided at the end of a listing.
However, there may be a few of you that do not. It might be because you are new to the hobby or you are used to other businesses or hobbies that treat it differently.
To me and I may be wrong, but it means:
• A price you may have previously seen, recently.
• A price based on scarcity or rarity.
• A price based on demand
• Not a lowball price to see what flies
• If you are not sure, it is better to just ask for at least the last price it was sold; if the seller has this price he will respond accordingly.
If anyone has any better points applicable to this subject; please let me know, and I will include them in this note. Sincerely Reggie

I PLAN ON CUTTING THE STATES DOWN TO ABOUT SEVEN + OR -; PLUS, MY SPECIAL COLLECTION (CHIPS WITH CARDS ON THEM) AND CANADA. I HAVE NOT DECIDED WHAT TO DO ABOUT MY WET CHIPS, I LIKE THEM AND ENJOY CRUISING SO, THEY MAY BE A KEEPER.

A WORD ON WHAT APPEARS TO BE DUPLICATES ON THE PAGES. THESE ARE UV OR MOLD VARIATIONS. I AM NOT GOING TO PULL THESE OUT AT THIS TIME. SHOULD THIS BECOME A NEGOTIATING FACTOR AND THE BUYER ONLY WANTS JUST ONE CHIP AND THE UV’S AND MOLDS MATTER NOT, THEN I WILL REMOVE THEM AND ADJUST THE PRICE ACCORDINGLY.
FOLKS, MANY OF THESE CHIPS ARE ALIVE, AND STILL BEING USED ON THE TABLES TODAY. SHOULD YOU BE NEAR BY A CLUSTER OF CASINOS FROM ANY PARTICULAR STATE, YOU PROBABLY CAN COME OUT AHEAD. ALSO, PLEASE KNOW THAT I CONSTANTLY OVER THE LAST 12 YEARS UP GRADED. I BOUGHT ANY NEW CASINO ISSUES WHEN THEY COME OUT FROM THE LOCAL CHIPPER THAT OFFERED THEM FOR SALE ON THE CHIPBOARD. Starting 2016, I have listed everything I have (all of my excel inventory +) on the collection library trader/for sale. Of course, many of you did not know that my previous listings were items I had more than one of. Now, everything; even the ones I only have 1 (one) of will be listed. Please know; none of these are from my personal collection. One more important point while searching for chips on my CL site; there are two settings for viewing my chips. One is a simply a long, long list of pictures and descriptions. Two is by Country/City/State/Casino alphabetical. You may request to change this at any time. And when you do I will leave it on that setting for a couple of days, or whatever you request within reason, before I change to help another chipper’s request.

This will cause more work for me, and along with that will be the possibility of more errors, and chances for items to slip through the cracks. So, I apologize in advance for the times I do not clear off a listing after it has been sold. Also, on the other side of coin, there will be times I will find a very nice item that I had forgot to put on the “Collection Library” when I first got it. And now I am listing it just when you started looking for it.
*On the subject of trading, please know: When you spot something on my CL Trader/For Sale list that you really want, I need to get something that I can put into my collection, also; or it will be a cash sale. Because, to take in trade something I will in turn have to sell, (that is already in my collection) requires me to work twice as hard to complete the original transaction.
The total amount of chips listed on this site as traders and for sale are approximately 4500. This of course will fluctuate up and down, however this number should afford most collectors looking for a piece to put in their collection at least an opportunity to see a few chips not often offered.
