John; I did not say that this was the case here. I know for a fact (as a casino chip author/cataloger) of collectors who have refused to supply scans of A.C. chips I knew that they have in their collections; stating that once their chip is published it becomes less valuable. Fortunately, many of these images often became available later on from other sources, such as auctions, ebay, private sales, TCB, etc.

How many times have you and others seen Ebay descriptions "Not listed in XYZ Catalog" ... or "not published in The Chip Rack" ... or not listed in the "Official Casino Chip Guide" ... or not posted at "The Chip Guide"?. I admit that there are many reasons for stating facts, but one can't deny that sometimes it is due to selfishness.
