Harrahs So Cal has this Chip Collector Album available in the Gift Shop.
The inside of the book has six punched out holes to place the chips shown in the display.
One chip will be issued every 7 weeks, the first two are available now.
Downside
1. The book costs $15
2. Each chip costs $5 and will take a whole year to collect.
3. The chips are NCV and have pictures of the resort, more like advertising chips.
4. No additional slots in the book for real gaming chips collected at the casino.
This casino issued grand opening chips (for Rincon and So Cal name change), has WSOP poker chips ($2 and $3), NCV chips used for bounce back/free play, and the normal assorted rack chips.
This does nothing to encourage chip collecting, $45 dollars, a whole year to complete, and no slots for real gaming chips.
I think the bean counters dropped the ball on this one.
