Go to www.aol.com

Click on either "Mail" or the picture of the envelope, usually in
the upper right hand section.

At that point, see if it asks for your password, etc.

You should be able to see all your emails, etc.
If so, this is AOL, without some of the bells and whistles of
Desktop.
