Story. We have all had stories like that. When I 1st started collecting I ran across a guy who had a huge bin of over 5000 chips. I sorted through them and pulled out what I could afford (at $3 each) There were C&S casino chips, Reno, Las Vegas, Tahoe, California, Atlantic City. . I had no idea of what was what. I just bought chips that I thought were cool looking.
There were about 20 $100 Atlantic City chips in there. I passed on most(not my collecting area) but did buy a Taj Mahal $100 for some reason. That chip just struck me as cool. (I later sold the chip at convention for $80 so I could buy more chips)There was a Atlantis $100 in the bin that I passed on(at one time that was a great chip)and when I got home I started looking into some of the chips (price guide/internet). Even though I bought almost 200 chips and got a deal of a lifetime(I believe me....I am happy with that) I left so many chips there that would of been very desirable. I might of left some of the chips I bought to buy others....I can still see the bin in my mind....I daydream of going through it sometimes. I wish I would of bought them all.
I have seen this guy every once in a while....I always ask if he has any more chips?
