My life long friend Gary G. (passed away 10 yrs ago) wife Cheryl G. was the secretary to Al Freeman who was the Marketing/Publicist at the Sands Las Vegas from opening in 1952 until he died in 1972. He had worked with Jack Entratter in New York at the famous Copacabana, they came together when the Sands opened, Jack as the entertainment director. I just recently made contact with Cheryl G. after not talking to her for 10 years. She gave me info. about the Sands from1960' thru 1971. Below is a story about Al Freeman and three pages of info. on the famous movie stars who visited and entertained at the Sands in the 60's. She also has record albums for many entertainers that performed at the Sands in the 60's and they are signed by the performers, promised to give them to me. Gary and Sheryl were close to Jack Entratter and were given front row seats to all the shows during the 60's.
