Archie,
Given the recent scramble by one of the parties involved to solicit help in providing promotional materials, its apparent that one of the commercial interests is worried. Said commercial interest has done a few things to help the hobby, but they don't come close to what the other commercial interest has done for the hobby. The solicitor has in fact done quite a few things to alienate the average collector. THAT is why I said the competition should prove to be revealing. Such a competition of chip shows during a time that many of us have become accustomed to attending a chip show in Las Vegas, I hope, will show one of the commercial interests involved that his approach to chip collecting is not welcomed by the average collector.
I don't forget chip hoarding. Some people might. I could if he learned. He didn't. That's just one thing he didn't learn out of a stack of lessons.
Like I said, it should be revealing.
