I have a suspicion that a whole bunch of people are going to go look and see if this is a problem. Fortunatly for me, I don't have many LEs and none are in flips or albums.
Hey if they were slabbed... (OK don't shoot me!) ;-)
Might be good for someone who has plastics knowledge to ask Bud Jones if the chip surface might react to vinyl? I remember that some plastic flips could cause dammage to coins.
I do have some that people shipped to me and the red color had bleed into the pages of Dansco albums.
And for anyone who ever fished and owned a tackel box, rubber worms melt into baits and even styrene plastic boxes. It's very possible that the flip is sticking to the surface of the chip and bonding. Take out the chip and just like Greg theorized, it's possible that part of the picture is still in the flip.
