for sale Very Rare THE MINT LV H.C.E Roulette

finishes on eBay in the next few hours.

Cheers, Tim.

Like a lot of chips I'm sure we all find there's a cool story that goes with this one. Well maybe more bizarre and fortuitous. I bought this chip with a small lot of Australian chips off Australian ebay back in October 2008. The image was pretty poor and very dark but I was pretty confident it was a Mint chip. When I got it sure enough it was what I thought it was. At that time and ever since then only a blue drilled version had been sold on ebay that I knew/know of so I was very pleased to get an undrilled version.

I contacted the seller after receiving the chips to try and get some history on how it came to be in their possession. I thought it very strange that this Mint roulette from the 60's would be in a small lot of cheap fractionals and $1 chips from Australian casinos. I expected some cool story about them travelling to Vegas in the 60's and seeing this famous person and visiting that famous place and bringing it back as a souvenir but instead i got this response....

"my husband found them in a box at the tip"

Regardless, it would seem that a long ago liberated roulette chip that was hours away from being send to landfill will most probably make it's way back across the sea to it's original home, or at least a heck of a lot closer than it has been for a good long while.
