the Mob run the town, I got everything comp. for small bets. in 60's & 70's, the Mob ran LV much better than today. Sure the accounting dept. skimmed the profits. But, the customers were treated better. In the 50's my brother and a buddy were on leave for a few day's from the Navy in San Diego, bus to LV stayed at the Flamingo for two nights, each had about 100.00, no ATM,credit line or check cashing then, went busted, pit boss hear the story, gave them a meal ticket, cab ticket, and a bus ticket back to San Diego. Said when in port again came see us. Wouldn't happen today.
