We have family in Palm Desert, right next door to Palm Springs. We often make this drive to visit them whenever we go to Vegas. Sometimes they drive this route to Vegas to be with us and have fun. I have actually never seen a tortoise on the road and I'm always looking. The last time we made that drive was last summer and we stopped at the railroad depot in Kelso.
