Before you go suggesting that, just think of the chaos it would cause when people start editing their posts that have responses.

Its bad enough when a post gets deleted and your response hangs out there, but there will be many unhappy people when things get a little heated and people start changing their posts.

Perhaps if the edit feature could only be used be used before a response is posted.
