I stayed at the Downtown Grand in February. It was really nice! There is very loud music from the night clubs and pool. They have ear plugs in each room so be sure to ask for a room away from the noise. When I did, they gave me a room on the 18th floor corner room. I didn't hear any noise.

Another nice place is the Golden Nugget Rush Tower.

One of my favorite places to stay downtown is El Cortez. Their price is much more reasonable and Tower rooms are nice, especially if you get a suite! The Cabana Junior Suites are great and newer.
