So two days ago I finally bit the bullet and bought my ticket. I have been watching airfares from Nashville since November and they have never moved at all. In fact the last week they went up. So I got my ticket and then guess what? They dropped some of the prices by up to $100 EACH WAY today! I had to pay $540 - just unreal since I can fly to Europe for less than twice that. And the worst part is I had some vouchers from rebooking another flight that will expire right after the convention so there is no sense to get a refund. So I can get the vouchers back but have no plans to go anywhere so they would just expire worthless. So the mortal of the story is when booking on Southwest and using a voucher to pay for part of it be sure to book each leg separately. That way if the rates go down you can get a new voucher on the leg you paid cash for.
