Re: Chip Scan vs Photo

"I have always wondered why sellers on eBay use scans."

For me, when I'm posting on eBay, scanning is so very much faster. Slap the chip on the scanner, hit scan, turn it over, scan again, then upload to eBay with a couple more clicks. I scanned and uploaded almost 50 chips that way last night.

Photo, you have to attach your cell phone (or camera, does anyone have a camera any more?) to the computer, Download the pictures, and then upload them to eBay. Not to mention that you have to hold the cellphone still, a problem for many of us, and then sort through having taken several shots to get the one clear one. I only do this for really Orange or Pink chips that just won't even come close to scanning true color.

If you post to eBay from your cell phone, ok. But, try posting 50 or 100 auctions from your cell. Not at all "fun".
