Rich, I remember those joints well. Honest Johns was there first. I used to sit at the bar and eat the free peanuts. When the traffic signal at Sahara
and the strip would change a loud bell would ring-you could hear it all over. Where the Centerfold was used to be a Mayfair market. When it became
the Jolly Trolly they had the best hamburgers and steaks. All the dealers took their laundry to a cleaners next to Honest Johns. In the 60s there was
a coin shop on the south end facing Sahara (where the Money Tree was). Eventually all those places morphed into one big casino. I remember the
Jackpot Casino had a baccarat game where they dealt paper dollars. Fun days.
