Don't you love when you find a perfect fit?

In Aruba, hotels commonly change the casinos inside the hotels. The casinos are generally leased to casino management companies. When the companies change, so do the casinos. The Aruba Palm Beach was a casino in Aruba from late November 1982 to the first of December 1983, one year. The hotel at that time was also called The Aruba Palm Beach. It began its life as the Aruba-Sheraton and is now the Riu. The $5, $25 and $100 Aruba Palm Beach chips were later used at the Centurion Casino in the same hotel, so they are easy to find (the $1 chips are quite hard to find, though, and I could use one). Anyway, I have casino/hotel items that show that during that one year, the casino used two different logos, and it used them consistently, no doubt one, then switching to the other.

What I believe is the first logo:

First, I have a nice matchbook -

I then got a single playing card (purchased in a lot of 4 single cards - it's the only card of this type I have seen) -

Lastly, I got my only glass swizzle with the same logo:

My only basis to assume this is the first logo is the simplicity of the playing card. Here is the second logo:

I got a great business card from a fellow chipper (thanks again!!) -

Of course, a matchbook -

So, I recently bought a full deck of playing cards off of eBay. It's fancier, with multiple colors, and it matches the second logo perfectly -

Don't you love it when you find something for your collection and it's a perfect fit?
