Face value usually doesn't have a direct correlation to the collectible value. The most valuable chip I have ever owned was just a 25¢ face value chip. Your chip has great eye appeal - frequently a good indicator of value. I'm sure the Bucket of Blood $5 chip gets a lot of its value from eye appeal not scarcity.
