Re: Another SD Trip ... Yuma AZ: Quechan

Quechan

OK, Still in California, but just a few miles into Yuma.

Very nice. Friendly. Hard to get to! No signage on Fwy until too late to turn in. (But it is a construction zone)

Checked into my motel room and set out again, taking the "back" road in from Yuma. It was a teeth chatering experience. Re-surface it or grind it to gravel, but do something about it!

Owned by same Tribe as Paradice, Ft Yuma. They've concentrated their resources here and let Paradice go to the weeds.

Played a hand a 21 and lost. No surprise. Went to the poker room. Manager there was quite affable. Was at least mildly interested in the ChipGuide data base, asked me what web address, as I asked if any hidden goodies in his drawer. Sold me the $2, no problem.

The Harvest:
P.S. Had to stick in my favorite non-casino pic of the trip. Driving out of Calexico to Yuma. It'd been windy, lots of dust in the air. Shot this pic pointing the cell phone at my rearview mirror.
