People get booted off flights every day - that's nothing new. What puts this over the top is that they booted him for a ridiculous reason, and then made the decision to have him removed from the plane. Should never have gotten to that point. All they had to do was keep uping their offer until someone accepted. No, they're not legally required to do that, and they were within their rights to contact law enforcement to have the man removed, but having a right doesn't make it right.
