This is amazing! If the California Lottery is like the Texas Lottery, only half of the actual ticket sales goes into the POT, the rest goes to the state coffers. Which means $282 million was actually spent on ticket sales and after the man finally gets his winnings and everyone has gotten their 'cut' he ends up with 42 million, 14.8% of the original ticket sales. Boy did that money go through some STICKY government hands!
