Jay, in 1941 there were I do not know how many thousand of civil service employees at the Mare Island Ship Yard. Picture Rosie the Riveter and 49,000 of here friends on 3 shifts probably working 7 days a week. Vallejo was rocking in that time period, Georgia, Tennessee, Tuolumne & Broadway Street probably had a few of those 15 card rooms. I lived there from about 1988-1992.
