I'm a somewhat semi-regular at Pauma (albeit not at Midnight to 4am) but knowing the casino well, I think they are just regular casino chips.

Pauma also has a promotion a few times during the week giving slot/video poker players $30 Credit for $20. They just load the $30 on your card, when you give them a Jackson at the Rewards Desk.

And although it doesn't say it, I would be willing to bet the new table games promotion is "1 per person, per day, with Club Pauma Card"..
